“The World the Children Made” by Shin Noguchi

Shin Noguchi, an award winning street photographers based in Kamakura and Tokyo, Japan. He is also a member of Up Photography Collective.
His project “The World the Children Made” reflects on Ray Bradbury’s short story, “The World the Children Made” in a more positive light. Capturing “children’s world” from outside more realistically. “I always try to capture this reality beyond my own values and viewpoint/perspective."
His photos portray the world in which our children live in, which at first glance looks mundane. However, when we dive deeper into the images, we can see a hint of fantasy world in there. The world we, as adult, forget we used to live in. The taste and the smell of youth is long forgotten. “I think this time retrace our own past; “The children’s world” that has been removed from contemporary society.” Shin’s work is almost a plead for the two worlds to coexist in harmony; a form of “city space to coexisting with natural environment.”
